Finance Manager

We're seeking a Finance Manager to join the Doc & Company team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, innovative company in a role that supports all functions. A successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have an ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a new and growing business. This candidate will have strong business judgment, willingness to have backbone, and a proven ability to take effective, independent action to improve the business' overall performance.

This role will include working closely with (and reporting to) the Founder & CEO to provide strategic guidance on decision making. The job will have an emphasis on forecasting, analyzing current performance and conducting prospective economic analysis of marketing programs and business initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

Long and short term financial planning.

Capital budget management - review, analysis, roll-up & tracking to actual spend, with constant executive read-outs.

Delivers timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and schedules as needed.

Decision support - support the business teams with various scenario analysis to optimize for the desired outcome.

Oversees internal and external audit requirements.

Provides input and support on new business initiatives.

Reinforcing a customer/audience-centric culture and strategic decision making within the function and broader organization.

Lead partnerships and alliances across complimenting brands.


DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA and/or CPA is a plus

Minimum 5 years of business experience with accountability for controllership, financial planning, reporting and analysis for a business unit.

Knowledge and experience with databases, spreadsheets, and other contemporary financial applications for data organization, analysis, and presentation. Knowledgeable about accounting principles and procedures.

Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise.

Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities.

Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with company heads.

Demonstrated ability to learn new computer programs quickly.

The ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
